This is our second Christmas in our new home, but the first year we actually put up decorations. Not much else to say, but for those that our interested.. here are a couple pics...

Denver Half Marathon 2009

Hi All.. Well, as most of you know, I am running the Houston Marathon in January 2010. I thought it might be a good idea to figure out my routine, and therefore, do the Denver Half Marathon as my training run. Plus, I get to see some of the neat parks in Downtown Denver while running. It went well. Need to work out a few details before Houston, but that's why I wanted to do this! Shawn was sweet and surprised me along the route and took some pics which are below! My time was under 10 minute mile, so I am more than happy with that at this stage!

This is City Park in Downtown Denver. It kind of reminded me of Hermann Park in Houston. I'm in the back there on the right with the green shorts #6125 - Click on the pic to make it bigger.

Visit with Mom and Dad

Hi All, I was excited that I was able to visit my Mom and Dad this week. Here's a picture of us.

We just finished that ridge and now we have to walk around this mountain in front of us to get to the mountain behind it which is our first destination... Kitty Kat Carson Peak!

Where we have to go....

This is Kat Karson... Renamed Columbia Point in memory of the Crew of the Columbia space shuttle. The picture is fuzzy, but it is a nice plaque.

This is the lake and click on this pic and make it bigger you can see the waterfall. This is where we camped when we tried this last time, but ended up turning back because of weather. We came a different way this time, so we could do it in one day.

One last peak to go... This is Kit Carson avenue and it will take us to Challenger point. It's the best avenue I've ever been on. It was probably about a mile away...
