Crestone Peak 14,294' and Crestone Needle 14,197'

We started bright and early, because we knew we had two challenging peaks ahead!! The picture does not do this view justice! Crestone Needle in plain view...

We have to get over BrokenHand Pass first...

I'm almost to the top of the pass....

On other side... unforutnately, we have to go back down and hike through this valley before starting up Crestone Peak...

We have already started going back up... and this is looking down from where we came....

Looking up at how much more to do ... this is over 1000' of class 3 climbing.... eek!!

Here we are! Crestone Peak complete!

This is after we got back down ... a pretty mountain lake area.... And now, at the top of Crestone Needle! It didn't go as quick as the pics, but we made it!!!
