My nephew is going to be strong!!!

Maybe he can convince my bro to start working out...

This is of Bear and South Boulder Peak that I mentioned previously.

South Boulder Peak, Bear Peak and Green Mountain

This is actually from the week before last. We hit 3 local peaks in one day. About 13 miles.... it was a long day, but very nice. The first peak is of South Boulder Peak from Bear Peak. Then, the one of Shawn is at the top of Green Mountain - and the 2 peaks together is of Bear Peak and South Boulder Peak is the same pic! Then, some cool wildlife!!

More pics from Quandary

We found some mountain goats on this trip. They seemed harmless, but they were definitely stalking us... I think they wanted food!! We also saw lots of hikers with skies and snowboard... many folks like to hike up and ski down...

Above is Shawn on the ridge, just before we got to the top.

Our First 14er this season - Quandary Peak 14,271'

Here we are at the top of Quandary Peak!! It was cold, but beautiful!! Unfortunately we didn't get much sun.

Few more from the top and at the start

Looking up at what we still have to climb

Views from the top of Mt. Silverheels

Some of these other peaks we will be climbing this year. They are 14ers around us!

Mount Silverheels 13,822'

Well, this is our first hike above treeline. Shawn didn't think there would be much snow. Oh, well! What beautiful pics, huh? It was gorgeous, but I'll be honest, this hike was hard!!! Lots of snow - at times knee deep. We had to go over littler mountains (12,000' ish) just to get to this one. Anyway, 9 hours later and 14 miles (roundtrip) - we made it. I slept for 10 hours last nigt. Enjoy!!! The one of just me and of Shawn and I are at the top. By the way, on any of these pics, you can click on them to make them bigger (that goes for all the entries so far.)
