Mount Massive 14,421'

This picture came out fuzzy. It makes Jolie look like an alien. Do you see her? Taking a break at treeline and checking out the surroundings.

Gentle slopes await.... We are going to that notch and then, up to the right.

Shawn did South Massive too. He is taking this picture of Massive.

See the nice trail below.... That's me on my way... Shawn "ran" ahead, so he could get South Massive too and take this picture of me.

Here we are!

This picture doesn't do it justice, but there are many peaks in the distance that we have already done. It was pretty cool that you could see and recognize them from where we were.

Mount Sneffels 14,150'

Started out early, 3:30am, since we wanted the snow to be nice and firm! Jolie is wondering why Daddy is taking her picture.

Tea Kettle - a centenntial on Shawn's list

Dallas Peak - a centennial on Shawn's list

Lavendar couloir - we are going up this! The snow as very firm and not very steep.

One more Couloir to go. A little more steep, but not too bad. Snow firm!

This is looking down the same Couloir.

Views from the top!

Tea Kettle and Dallas peak again from a different view.

Uncompahgre Peak in the distance. We did that one already.

No snow on this side!

Here we are at the top! Jolie's first 14er!! She is camera shy.

The free sandwich shot from Which Wich.

The End :)!

California Peak 13,849'

Ventured on another hike today. It was supposed to be nearly no snow. It wasn't too bad. This is another centenntial. Shawn made it to the top. I decided to call it quits at Point 13,849'. Here is the picture of the road as we started out. Blanca Peak. A 14er we did last year. Very pretty!

Huerfano Peak and Lindsey Peak in the back. Again, peaks we did last year.

Picture of the valley and looking down the ridge we just hiked up.

My sweet Jolie taking a break.

This is a picture of Crestone Peak and Crestone Needle in the distance. Again, peaks we climbed last year. Pretty crazy to think we have climbed so many peaks!

Taking a break on the ridge. I think I was putting my sunglasses away, but Jolie is hoping for food!

Climbing up one mountain, only to go down and then, climb up another.

This is a pretty cool picture. 3 peaks all connected by ridges. The first one starting from the left is Blanca Peak, then, Ellingwood Point, and then, Bear Peak. All peaks that we climbed last year. Wow! I feel amazing!

Solo shot of Shawn on California Peak. Dave and Okie were with him. Maybe I'll do it again in the summer when there is less snow.

Traver Peak 13,852'

Today we set out for another attempt to Traver Peak and then, to Clinton Peak. It was a nice day as usual. Our friend Dave and his dog Okie joined us. This is Dave and Okie in the distance, and I am behind them. Another pic of Dave and the beautiful scenery.
In the center of this peak is Traver Peak. You can't see Clinton Peak. It is hidden to the right.
One of the surrounding mountains.
Here's a cute pic of Okie.
Shawn took this from the top of Traver Peak looking down.
This is Democrat Peak. We climbed it last year. I thought the ridges looked really neat here.
Quandary Peak in the back to the right. Another one we did last year.
Here we are at the top with Lincoln peak behind us (another one we did last year)!
Shawn went on to climb Clinton Peak while Jolie, Dave, Okie and I went back down. Shawn has a goal of climbing all the Colorado Centennials. I do not, so he went on and we met up with him later. He did a good job!

Falcon Point

This was a nice little hike with lots of side trails and pretty views.
Downtown Denver as seen from the top!

Here we are at the top!
